I'm joined today my fellow pit legends, Gary McGee, Jermaine Dixon. Lots to talk about today, lots to catch up on. We missed last week. We saw our pit boys go one and four in the past 10 days, but finally breaking a four game losing streak, winning with a big win against Miami without Jalen Lowe. There's some experts still have us first four out. You know, last four in. We're still kind of on that bubble. What do you guys think are the chances of us making postseason tournament? [00:01:59] Speaker C: Go ahead, G. [00:02:03] Speaker A: As far as getting an automatic bid, we have a lot of work to do with little time left. We need to grab some wins. Start with Syracuse tomorrow. That's a. That's a big game for us at home. We beat them on the road a couple weeks ago. I think it's a team that we can definitely beat. They pounded us on the glass the first time we played, so we control the glass. Hopefully we have Jalen Lowe back. That's going to be big. Dunn is out now with a season ending injury, which is really tough. It's a really big blow for us to take right now, especially at this point in the season we just going to have to have guys step up. They gotta have to step up, make shots, make plays, defend the home court. We at the crib, at the zoo. We got to defend home court, get a win and we got to see where to, you know, see where the chips fall. After that. It's still, it's still, you know, still chance. Like you said, first four out, Joel and already had us I think believe first four out, the last, the last time he did it or something like they still talking about us. So wins are important right now. And then we have the conference tournament that'll be coming up soon. We have opportunities. It's not over till it's over. So we definitely have chances to get into the tournament. You know, I still have hope and you know I'm saying hoping the guys and coach Capel and the rest of the staff. [00:03:20] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, I'm with G. I've been saying all year, college basketball wide open. It's unfortunate that we put ourselves in this situation. I think coming into, coming into the new year we were, they was looking at us like you just said G is probably a top 5C, top 4C's, something like that. And you know, was supposed to be a weaker year in the acc. You know, we kind of let down a little, but a lot actually not a little. We let down a lot. But going forward we win these games. Hopefully the guys don't have their head down. We win these games, build some momentum going into the ACC tournament and, and then when we get, get down to. Was it Raleigh this year? [00:04:12] Speaker A: I believe so. Yeah. [00:04:13] Speaker C: We get down to Raleigh, I think we can win this. I think we win. I would love to win it. I would love to win the acc. But we going to win a streak now and, and we can get to that championship game or right before the championship game. I think we can go in the tournament and you know, it sucks that we lost injuries, injuries is killing us right now. But we pulled off again win against Miami. You know, Miami obviously not really good. I don't even know if they got five wins in a conference. We have two, two wins. Yeah, Miami's not good, but that's a win that we need to get a jump started. And I like I've been saying, you know, I wanted to see him play. I like Brandon Cummings and I thought he played well. He didn't shoot well and it's his first time starting as a freshman. But I thought he played, I thought he played the game solid. I think Ish stepped up his play a Lot in that game. And he was huge. [00:05:14] Speaker D: He was huge. Probably the biggest game was the in state rivalry, Auburn versus Alabama. 1 2. Usually that's a Football game everybody's excited about. But now. 1 verse 2 that was a great basketball game we saw. Is Auburn separating themselves as Auburn and the rest of the country? Do you think they've proven that they are hands down the best team and pretty much unbeatable? It's a big game for us at home against Syracuse, a team that we, you know, normally play, play well against. So we need this win. Six games, six regular season, six games left until the tournament.
