[00:00:00] Speaker A: I mean, I gave right to it, though. Yeah. [00:00:06] Speaker B: I was watching Prison Break, man. [00:00:08] Speaker A: Why are you watching prison break in 2025? Great show, though. [00:00:11] Speaker C: Great, Great show. [00:00:13] Speaker B: I just wanted to go back and I just can't believe some of the that went down like that is crazy. [00:00:18] Speaker C: That's wild. I'm over here typing my parlay trash right now. These days suck. They suck. [00:00:24] Speaker A: Mine looking good. Mine looking good. [00:00:26] Speaker C: Had a nice little joint coming. That's my last leg. [00:00:28] Speaker A: You disrespecting Lamar. That's why your got messed up yesterday. [00:00:32] Speaker C: Well, I. Well, he went. Yeah, he went over. I was tight. [00:00:34] Speaker A: Yeah, he was over. I know. [00:00:35] Speaker C: I wanted him to go. I wanted him to go over on rushing. That's why they lost. He wanted to pass the ball. They run. You do what you do. Passing the ball. [00:00:42] Speaker A: All right, man, let's get started. Leave my quarterback alone. I thought I was going to wear my Lamar jersey, but no, I ain't wearing this. [00:00:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I was about to say, take that off, y'all. [00:00:51] Speaker B: N why he got it on like. [00:00:56] Speaker C: Let me put my LE banger shirt on. [00:00:58] Speaker A: Let me come with my league banger shirt on. [00:01:01] Speaker B: That's what I'm talking about. See, you automatically win with that? You win? [00:01:06] Speaker A: Yeah, man, I couldn't. Ravens did me dirty. I can't win this. [00:01:10] Speaker B: I miss being at my team. Putting me in a situation like that where I could be mad, though, man. [00:01:15] Speaker C: You know, we over here. We over here in the. We in the lottery. [00:01:17] Speaker B: Yeah, the lottery. Yeah. [00:01:22] Speaker A: Y'all got some time for that? All right, man, let's get to it. Episode two, baby. We here got your host, Maine Dixon, my man, Levance Fields, Banger Guy McGee. We gonna get started, man. We're gonna get right to pit, man. With a four game losing streak in the ac, what adjustments do you think we had to make to turn things around? And are y'all concerned about us getting to the tournament, Lee? [00:01:48] Speaker B: I'm very. I'm very concerned, man. We lost four straight. It was great opportunity for us to put ourselves in a position where I think we'd have been definitely inside the 64 field to be in the tournament. Now, after these four games, we definitely on the outside looking in. And after what happened last year, with that bad taste left in our mouths when we felt we should have been in, but we missed it on Selection Sunday. Now, we got a lot of work to do, man. We got a lot of work to do, but it's a long season. It's still a lot of games left, but we just got to hopefully we got to stick together. I know right now it's a lot of questioning each other probably because it's just, you know, tough losses and that's natural as teammates, but got to stick together, believe in every. Everything they was doing, all the work they put in, keep trusting each other. Coach, coaches got to keep trusting the players, players got to keep trusting the coaches and then guys got to make plays when they actually out there. Man, I seen the interview with coach talking and it's just like you say, everything matters. Like when you come into the game, if unfortun unfortunately you come right in and you're fouling or you're not adding to the team, it doesn't help much. So then guys are having to play heavier minutes and it's just, it's right now it's not clicking in these last four games. I mean we play hard in the games I'm watching though. I mean last game was overtime game, but we just having miscues at the wrong time, unfortunately, which putting us in situations where we're not coming out successful at the end of the day. [00:03:11] Speaker C: Yeah, G. I mean the piggy to piggybug off that. I mean, he's right about that. Just losing four games in a row is tough. Anytime you do that, any part of the season, especially in ACC play, it's going to be a tough task, you know, to try to turn around again to the tournament. But the good thing is they have time. It's a lot of time left for the season. It's a lot of games left. But changes need to happen now. You know what I'm saying? I'm definitely concerned the rebounding has been an issue. We've been out rebounding all the last four games that we lost has been out rebounded. So that's definitely an issue that we need to try to figure out some. I know we don't have great rebounders on the team, but we have to, you know, rebound by committee, you know what I'm saying? We have good rebounders, but we need to rebound by committee to do a better job on the glass, eliminate second chance points, you know, because we get, we get stops and then we don't get the rebound. So that's been, that's been an issue for us, but we have, we have some time left and I'm definitely confident in us to try to figure this thing out, try to get it going, try to get it rolling. We lost to the teams that we lost to. We lost to two ranked opponents back to back and Duke and Louisville now rank so some of those losses don't look as bad, but they're still losses. So that's definitely like will hurt us when it comes time to tournament time and the committee looking at that. So that's what I see. [00:04:25] Speaker A: Louisville jumped in the top 25. [00:04:28] Speaker C: Yeah, they in there now. So if you go look back at the teams we lost to Duke, they're ranked Louisville, Mississippi State and Wisconsin. That's four of our L's. The Clemson and the Florida State, they're not ranked. So it doesn't look as bad looking now if those teams continue to play well. Committee looks at that. Those, those aren't bad losses if we're looking at, you know, selection time. But like you said, we got to get it going as far as we need to get some win. [00:04:50] Speaker A: Yeah, I think the positive in it is, is no team is standing out in college basketball. So four game losing streak is not good and we, we can play better. We need to play better. As long as we turn it up like you said, rebounding is, is our main issue. And for me I just think we need to stop playing so selfish. Like, and, and then, and like Capel said, I watched the interview as well. Like Cable said, it comes from a good place. You know, the guys want to take over and they, they want to win. So they trying to make plays but like you said, get off the ball some. You know, it's about making the right play, not the, not the hero play. You know, don't try to try to come back in one play. It takes time and I think, I think they'll get there. And I talked with Gil. They are positive, the team's still positive. They had good talks so I'm looking forward to them bounce back and the good. And also in those four games we've been playing like we played on a Saturday, then a, I think a Tuesday, then a Saturday where we don't play again until next Saturday. I think we play Circus, we play Syracuse next Saturday. So they got a whole week to practice. So now in this, in this week of practice, we got to get after it's. Everything is hard. Like you know, you know how it is. Well, we don't know actually. Y'all just said y'all had a three game losing streak. So in that sense when you get to practice you got to go hard like things that you're not doing well, working at it and just competing now. So I think we could turn it around. I think we'll be straight. [00:06:26] Speaker B: They just got. [00:06:26] Speaker A: You look like you want to Say something. [00:06:28] Speaker B: Yeah, they got to believe it. They got to believe it and they got to keep working. [00:06:31] Speaker C: They definitely got to just get focused. You know, like you said, we. We got Syracuse. When? Saturday. That's what you said. Saturday. So game that we need to win, you know, got to go in there. [00:06:41] Speaker A: Is at home that I don't know. But Syracuse ain't playing well. Look it up. Gi. I'm not. I'm not sure Syracuse at 500, they're not playing too well. But I said the same thing about Florida State and we went down there. [00:06:54] Speaker B: Right now we're not playing well. [00:06:56] Speaker C: We can't say anything about at Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. [00:07:01] Speaker A: That's a tough place to play. [00:07:02] Speaker C: Definitely play depth perception clerk crazy for shooters. [00:07:05] Speaker A: Except for me, you know, I went crazy up there. I did. I went crazy up there my senior year. Only time I played up there had a big game. [00:07:12] Speaker C: We beat the beat the what number 14 was that ranked number four? Something like that. [00:07:16] Speaker B: What you say Lee killed him? My sophomore year on ESPN was killing him. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Was Dante there? [00:07:21] Speaker C: No, that was his junior year when Dante was there. [00:07:24] Speaker B: Remember like Roberts was there. Lefty, big man with hot nickels, small forward, shooting guard. [00:07:31] Speaker A: Well, we got. I tell you what we got to get. [00:07:33] Speaker C: I never lost. I never lost to Syracuse. Kudos, me neither. [00:07:36] Speaker A: I don't think Lee, you never lost to him either, right? [00:07:38] Speaker B: I lost to them once. [00:07:39] Speaker C: Tournament, right. Biggie start Chip the championship. [00:07:43] Speaker B: That don't count, man. Jerry McAv. [00:07:48] Speaker A: Oh, that was your freshman year. [00:07:49] Speaker B: My freshman year. Yeah, man. We was in that Biggie ship every year, man. [00:07:54] Speaker A: That's crazy. And then when I get there, don't want to go. You won't be doing like this while I'm not there. I'm a me banger, man. [00:08:03] Speaker C: Big shot. If you ever pull up that clip, you see me going crazy on the sideline. Jumping up and down, baby. [00:08:10] Speaker B: No dreads. All the reaction. That'd be the best part about them shots like that. You got to look at the reactions reaction Brad tried to sell. Brad tried to come on the court, man. [00:08:21] Speaker C: But you try to get on the scores table. Why they ain't let you be great though. Let you rock in the guard. Let's let you go crazy. [00:08:34] Speaker B: My son B night grab you for. I was. I don't know what I was going through. [00:08:40] Speaker A: Yo. I think you know Lee, your, your, your highlight clip going crazy on Instagram. But you know I'm sitting there reading the comments your man. I don't know who it was. [00:08:51] Speaker B: Who. [00:08:51] Speaker A: But one of your man said he got interviewed after the game. [00:08:54] Speaker B: Oh, that's a. That's a fact. [00:08:56] Speaker A: Who's that? [00:08:57] Speaker B: My man from the hood, Trey Black. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Why they interview your man? [00:09:01] Speaker B: I don't know. Everybody was just excited, man. I don't know what they did that for, but they interviewed you. That's just like my other man that got in the picture. They thought he was Sandal. That's how Browns will move, man. They get out. They get it. You heard? [00:09:16] Speaker A: That's what we did, y'all. Y'all was up there wilding. [00:09:18] Speaker B: It was a big moment. Everybody was wild. [00:09:21] Speaker A: I wish you hit one of those shots. Oh, actually, you did against Xavier. My bad. I'm wilding. My bad. [00:09:27] Speaker C: You what? [00:09:28] Speaker A: Yukon? Not my studio at UConn. [00:09:30] Speaker B: They number one in the country. I hit two in a row. [00:09:33] Speaker A: Oh, yeah? Yeah. [00:09:34] Speaker B: All right. [00:09:35] Speaker A: I just forget because I hit. I hit a 3, too. [00:09:37] Speaker B: It's a lot. It's a lot. So it's easy to get. Like, yo, dad, you did that, too? Yeah, definitely. [00:09:44] Speaker A: Definitely shooting. Shooting 39. But you hit a big shot. [00:09:48] Speaker C: Clutch badge. You got them clutch 2k badges. [00:09:54] Speaker A: Somebody called you Bubba. Chuck said you shoot like AI. [00:09:57] Speaker B: Listen, man, you could see what was going down, man. I just. I just started passing a little too much. [00:10:03] Speaker A: No, you did right. Give me some. Give me some. Give me a little shine. Hey, G, Pull up the top 25. [00:10:10] Speaker B: Remember that used to be life, man. Monday, come out, the new ranking. [00:10:14] Speaker C: That was a big day. You know what the biggest day ever was? When we know we was number one. Oh, big night. That was a big night. We knew what time it was. Oh, my God. It was celebration. [00:10:27] Speaker B: Yo, who was it? Florida State? Bunc, Right? We was like, yo, I think you want to see the update. We was like. [00:10:33] Speaker C: Because we was two. Yeah. We like. [00:10:34] Speaker B: We got to be number one now. They can't skip us. We was number one. Both polls that ap. Because they like, AP Poll. That's when I started being like, what? [00:10:47] Speaker A: Hey, was we questioning. Because we lost to West Virginia, was we questioned about being number one in the. In the tournament? [00:10:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Because we, like his first round. I mean, what was the boss? So it wasn't first round, but I remember us. [00:10:58] Speaker C: I ain't think that a little bit. You ain't think that we was over. Our record was too good. We was, too. [00:11:04] Speaker A: I mean, we got the number one overall record. [00:11:07] Speaker B: Yeah. No, we was. [00:11:07] Speaker A: With a loss in the Big East. [00:11:09] Speaker B: No, we was. [00:11:09] Speaker C: We weren't the number one overall seed. [00:11:11] Speaker B: Yes, we was. [00:11:12] Speaker A: Yes, we were. [00:11:12] Speaker C: I thought Yukon. I mean, not Yukon. I thought North Carolina was. [00:11:15] Speaker B: We was number one overall, bro. [00:11:18] Speaker C: I, I really, I really. That's. [00:11:19] Speaker A: I promise you. [00:11:20] Speaker B: I didn't know out of all the number one seeds, we was number one overall. [00:11:23] Speaker A: Number one overall? Yeah, bro. [00:11:25] Speaker C: We lay there. That's crazy low key. We that make it even. Dam. I didn't know that. That's. [00:11:29] Speaker B: That's news for me today. [00:11:30] Speaker C: I thought we just was a one. [00:11:31] Speaker A: That's how we got to Ohio. That's how we got the Ohio. [00:11:34] Speaker C: We closer to the. Closer to the crib. Dang, that makes sense now. [00:11:38] Speaker B: That's why I was also trying to tell y'all, like, y'all little. Y'all little dogs like it's still levels to talking about. [00:11:44] Speaker C: I remember you talking about our number one seed. We laid the egg too, though. I ain't gonna lie. We lay the eggs too. [00:11:51] Speaker B: We laid egg. [00:11:52] Speaker A: I laid the egg early, though. [00:11:53] Speaker C: But. But we did win the big beast regular season. Let's not get it twisted. We put a band. We got the last bet. We got the last banner up is ours. [00:12:00] Speaker A: I mean, a regular season ain't nothing though. [00:12:04] Speaker C: Championship. [00:12:05] Speaker B: Did you win one? Did you win one? [00:12:07] Speaker A: We got regular season. [00:12:11] Speaker C: Championship. No, we didn't finish. [00:12:13] Speaker B: No, we didn't finish second. Yeah. If West Virginia would have beat Louisville. [00:12:18] Speaker C: Yep. That was a big. Yeah, we finished second. [00:12:20] Speaker A: I ain't got no championship. [00:12:21] Speaker B: I finished. Yeah, you ain't got nothing, man. [00:12:24] Speaker A: That was crazy. [00:12:27] Speaker C: I got a Biggie's tournament even though I didn't play one second. But I was on the squad. But I got a regular season title. That was a big part of that. [00:12:37] Speaker B: In the second regular season. 12. [00:12:38] Speaker C: It was. We were second though, man. Your junior year we were second. [00:12:41] Speaker A: That's ass. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Yeah, I was second. [00:12:44] Speaker A: But you got championships and you got championships. Whatever you pulled at the 25. [00:12:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I got it. [00:12:49] Speaker A: All right, man, G, you gonna. You can run down the top 25, but I. Well, G, run down the top 25. Oh, just give me the top 10. Who the top 10 teams right now. [00:12:59] Speaker C: Incoming to Tim Cat. Kentucky, Michigan State, Houston at 7, Tennessee at 6, Florida at 5, Alabama at 4, Iowa State at 3. 1. I mean Duke at 2 and Auburn at 1. [00:13:11] Speaker A: This is up. This is today from this January 20th. [00:13:14] Speaker C: Yep. [00:13:17] Speaker A: I thought. I thought I was gonna drop out and then I lost. [00:13:20] Speaker C: I mean, everybody lost. Everybody lost. [00:13:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:23] Speaker B: Florida. [00:13:23] Speaker A: Did they drop? [00:13:24] Speaker C: They dropped the Just three. They only went down one. Alabama, Florida and Tennessee stayed the same. [00:13:31] Speaker A: All right, well, I'm gonna ask y'all who do you think is. Or who do y'all think is the best team in college basketball right now and why. And just let me know if you're basing it off of overall record, strength of schedule, talent or however y'all. Whatever y'all think. But G, who do you. Who do you think is the top team right now? [00:13:50] Speaker C: Right now, I have to say Auburn is the best team overall. Who they played, the players that they have. Broom is probably a leading candidate for player of the year. He's been playing great. They got good guard play also. They play everybody. They only lost one game. So right now I like them as the best team in college. But the team that I like and I think that has a good chance of going further or back to the Final Four at least, is Alabama. I really definitely impressed with their guards. Mark Sears, the game reminds me of Jalen Brunson. Maybe not as strong, but that type of game. Lefty gets to the basket, can shoot. Then big Grant Nelson, he's playing great pick and pop. Guy can get to the basket pretty well. They also have some good athletic four or fives that finish around the basket with dunks, rebound, block shots. So it's between those two teams, but I give the edge to Auburn. As of right now, I think they're the best team in college. [00:14:47] Speaker A: What about you, Lee? Who you think's the best? [00:14:49] Speaker B: I can't. I can't call it. I've been trying to figure it out. Just watching teams, watching certain matchups. I think it's a couple teams you could pick from. Definitely the two teams Gary just stated, Auburn and Alabama. I think you could throw Duke in there because of Cooper. And I'm continuing to just get better as a team. I mean, Kentucky, Florida, I think them two teams, they'll be in the thick of things, make it to the sweet 16, then next weekend. Is anything possible? Like we said, SEC is the best. We think the best conference this year. So they're being tested the most in their conference. They'll be ready when tournament come. So I think it's about four or five teams that can make it, and obviously most of them is from the sec. [00:15:30] Speaker A: I'm actually shocked you took that ride. I definitely thought you would have a. I thought you would be locked in on the team because I actually feel the same way you feel. I don't. I don't. I don't know who I would say the best team is. Like you said, it's a few teams with Auburn, Duke, like you said. Gee, I like Alabama a lot. I really like Florida. I think Florida with, with them returning most of their guys, I think they gel really well together. They, they play hard. They're really talented. Big defend. If I had to take it, if I had to say a team right now, I would probably say Duke. And I think that's basing it off of. And like I said, I, I, I, I said Duke wasn't deep, but I think with the way Cooper flag is playing and I can never say the big guy name is Cone Cooper. How you say his, how you say his last name? [00:16:22] Speaker C: That's tough. The big fella Cooper or something like that. I can't, I don't want to mess his name. [00:16:26] Speaker A: Yeah. With the way those, with the way those two play, would you say Jay? [00:16:30] Speaker C: No, I said the big seven two guy. [00:16:31] Speaker A: Yeah, the big seven'two guy. With the way those two play and they, and they both freshmen, I think they could think they could be the best team. And just like Cooper Flagg, he does everything. He, he literally leads their team in every category. Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks. There's no one playing better than him right now. Since the eight, since the acc, ACC started, he took his game to another level and I think he's going to keep getting better. And everyone is falling in line. I think Shy is doing a good job there. And G, I think you said it before, defensively, they, they look really good. Like they defend well. I think Duke has a good chance to beat, to be considered the best team. But again, it is up in the air. [00:17:19] Speaker C: Another team that I was going to say another team that I watched played last week was Iowa State. They have a nice team. I watched them beat Kansas. They're pretty good. Gotta get dude Jones on their team. Guarded, create his own shot, create for others. I like him. They got a nice team too. That was my first time checking them out. A lot of guys that know their roles around him, just some bigs that's like bruisers get rebounds, you know what I'm saying? [00:17:46] Speaker A: That's another reason why I thought of this question. Because you came in a group chat giving our state all these flowers. I definitely thought you was going to roll with them. [00:17:57] Speaker C: Well, I watched them. But Alabama, I like Alabama. They got, they got the pedigree. They went to the final four last year. They returned their best two players. That's experience right there. You know what I'm saying? So that's why, that's why I put them up there. And I actually watched Kentucky play that. Like you said, they're a good team. They're well coached. I think that was the game over. Was it? Kentucky, Alabama. [00:18:15] Speaker A: Kentucky, Alabama. [00:18:16] Speaker C: Yeah, that was. Yeah. They run some sets too. Both, Both coaches have some stuff with their sleeves. So. Yeah, they were two good teams. I think the SEC has a good chance of probably breaking the record from my senior year. Most teams going to the tournament, I think they got a chance of getting teams. [00:18:32] Speaker A: I wanted to say, I wanted to say Kentucky even. Even when Calipari was dead. Even now he don't play enough defense. Like there's no reason you should be giving up 102 points. Have we ever, did we ever score 100 points? Yo, scoring 102 points in college is crazy. [00:18:48] Speaker C: We played back in a different era. We had a 35 second shot clock. We, we like dinosaurs now. 35 second shot clock is crazy. With, with a reset to 35, you get an offensive rebound. That's like, that's killer. [00:18:59] Speaker B: That's two minutes for real. [00:19:02] Speaker C: That's wild. [00:19:04] Speaker B: I think we got 82 before or something like that. Maybe my senior year we might have got like 80 at one of them non conference games. [00:19:11] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I'm saying, 102. But you're right. I. I didn't even think about it. We definitely was going back to. They weren't going back to 35 seconds. [00:19:19] Speaker C: No, it's reset to 35. It wasn't. No, it wasn't no 20. It was 35. Now it's 30 seconds and the 20 reset. It was 35. The Juan Blair get an offensive rebound. It's another 35 seconds. Fans feels gonna slow that mug down and he's gonna call regular. [00:19:32] Speaker B: Here we run it through that five seconds. Oh, man. Sam get a rebound. That's bad business, dude. [00:19:41] Speaker A: That's crazy. [00:19:43] Speaker B: I'm glad they changed that, man. [00:19:45] Speaker C: Me too though. For real. [00:19:47] Speaker B: That's just too much. [00:19:48] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm glad you took that jersey off before we started piling because you looking, looking sad, bro. [00:19:54] Speaker A: Yeah, I couldn't wait. That's why I couldn't do nothing yesterday. I was hoping dudes didn't say, let's do this. [00:20:00] Speaker B: Let's sleep that off, man. [00:20:03] Speaker C: We scored 93. 92. Who told you 90? 90. We started the season off with 86. 86, 86, 82. 86, 86. We was a high scoring team your senior year. You scored 90. [00:20:17] Speaker B: We were scoring 90. [00:20:19] Speaker A: Not my senior year. [00:20:20] Speaker C: No, we talking about. We said we saw when we all played. I definitely got a bucket that game too. My eight minutes after we was up by 30. [00:21:20] Speaker B: No loud. 11 for main dictionary. [00:21:22] Speaker A: That's crazy. We scored 90 and I couldn't get double digits. [00:21:26] Speaker C: You play some. [00:21:31] Speaker A: I mean the one and Sam, of course. That's a given. [00:21:34] Speaker C: The one had 32 and 14. [00:21:36] Speaker A: Jesus Christ. [00:21:37] Speaker B: Damn. [00:21:38] Speaker C: Young got 10, Brad had 13. Off the bench, 24 minutes, five for six, three for three. [00:21:43] Speaker A: Oh, man, we're. Gail did 21 minutes good. [00:21:46] Speaker C: Five rebounds, six. Five and four. Six points, five rebounds, four. [00:21:50] Speaker A: Don't throw out them other stats. [00:21:51] Speaker C: Yeah, shout out to Gil. A big six, but I almost had a four by four, four. [00:21:56] Speaker A: Five by five. [00:21:57] Speaker B: And I know the Dame, G. I like my chance, too. [00:22:00] Speaker C: Yeah, you like your chance? What you like? What you thinking you did? Man, I'm 17 in the game. [00:22:04] Speaker A: Notre Dame. Is that the crib? Yeah. [00:22:08] Speaker C: I remember this game. [00:22:09] Speaker A: I played good. [00:22:10] Speaker C: This is the one. He had 20, 23 and 22. [00:22:12] Speaker B: Martel was good. [00:22:14] Speaker C: Jermaine Dixon, 29 minutes, 16 points, five rebounds, five for seven. Field goal, three for three for the. [00:22:22] Speaker B: Okay, that's a lot. [00:22:23] Speaker C: Two steals. Two steals. [00:22:25] Speaker A: That's. That's 28. That's 30. That's 30. [00:22:27] Speaker C: Advanced field, 17 points, seven assists, zero turnovers, two steals. Duan played all the minutes for that night, so I gotta. He had 23 and 22. [00:22:39] Speaker B: Do I need to say anything else, man? I have more than you, man. Come on, man. [00:22:43] Speaker A: You played one minutes, though. How many minutes? [00:22:44] Speaker C: He played Luke Harris for 27. [00:22:46] Speaker A: Hold up. How many minutes Lee played? [00:22:48] Speaker B: What that mean? [00:22:49] Speaker C: Lee played 33. You played 29, y'all. That's about the same. [00:22:52] Speaker A: That's not the same. That's the extra four minutes. You know what I could have did in the four minutes? [00:22:56] Speaker C: You played good? You had 16 points. [00:23:04] Speaker A: Without you. [00:23:04] Speaker C: From the three. [00:23:05] Speaker A: That's you from the three. [00:23:07] Speaker C: Three for three. [00:23:08] Speaker A: Three for three? [00:23:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:09] Speaker A: Oh. [00:23:09] Speaker B: What? I was three for three. From three? [00:23:11] Speaker A: Hell, no. [00:23:12] Speaker C: He said, Hell, no. You two for three. [00:23:16] Speaker B: All right, good night. [00:23:17] Speaker A: We was in the gym with B. Night. Yo, did y'all see the Ace Bailey dump? [00:23:23] Speaker C: Yeah, that was nasty. I would have got a tech, too. [00:23:27] Speaker B: I wish they would have won two, though, but dang. Yeah, I would have got a tech, too. [00:23:32] Speaker C: Harper. Harper ain't doing that. He's basically by itself. [00:23:36] Speaker A: That was tonight? [00:23:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Yep. Tonight. Yeah. [00:23:39] Speaker A: They ain't. They ain't gonna get in the tournament. I'm mad about. [00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah, that's gonna be. That's gonna be rough. They're gonna have to win the Big Ten. [00:23:45] Speaker C: That's a tall task. Is one of the Big Ten. That's. [00:23:47] Speaker B: That's. That's what it's looking like right now. [00:23:49] Speaker C: Yeah, it is. [00:23:49] Speaker A: You're right. [00:23:50] Speaker C: I might have to pull up to a game, you know, it's gonna be here. [00:23:52] Speaker A: You talked to B. Night? [00:23:53] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, the Big Ten. Twenty, right? [00:23:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:55] Speaker A: Oh, is that. Is it Indiana? [00:23:57] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm pulling up. I'm pulling up. [00:24:00] Speaker A: You starting to be night. [00:24:00] Speaker B: All right. I mean, I ain't talked to him when I. Because, remember I was supposed to go to the Purdue game. [00:24:04] Speaker C: My foot gotta see when they come play. [00:24:07] Speaker A: They ain't got no schools down here in the Big Ten, and they go to Maryland this year when I was down in Maryland. [00:24:12] Speaker C: That's surprising. They don't got no schools in the Big Ten. Big Ten got a school everywhere. [00:24:17] Speaker A: You see your man from UCLA bitching about playing on the East Coast. He said, we seen. He said, we've seen. I must say, the Eiffel Tower. He was like, we've seen the Statue of Liberty twice in two weeks. [00:24:34] Speaker C: That's some. That travel. All right. They tripping. I love missing out. [00:24:38] Speaker B: What we should be talking about. Big empty plan we going. [00:24:41] Speaker A: But as a coach. But as a coach, and they lost some games. You know, he gonna be. [00:24:44] Speaker B: Well, he gotta do better across the country. Why did y'all hear that? He still got paid. [00:24:51] Speaker A: He got paid. [00:24:52] Speaker C: I bet you them checks no cash. That ain't no rent yet. [00:24:56] Speaker A: Definitely no rent yet. Hey, I wanted to give a quick shout out to my man, B.1 at Texas, Westland University. Brian Wanamaker. They looking good. First year head coach. He 13, 4, 9, 4 in conference they played. They played North Texas, D.1 school. They ain't win, but it was a good game. [00:25:19] Speaker C: Shout out, B man Doing this thing. [00:25:23] Speaker B: I'm sure his team played tough. Man, he was tough when he used to play. So. [00:25:27] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. When B came up and hooped with us, I said, playing hard as bad defense. [00:25:34] Speaker B: Ready? [00:25:35] Speaker C: Definitely playing hard. Yeah. [00:25:36] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, I like to play with him, even playing against him, because I know you're gonna compete. [00:25:41] Speaker A: I like they gonna compete. Yeah. [00:25:43] Speaker C: Watching him and Brad play one on one, that was. That was something to see. [00:25:47] Speaker A: Was they fighting? [00:25:48] Speaker C: You know, they was about to come to blows. A couple times in the back gym, once in the summertime. Play both, play hard, want to win. That's that competitive. [00:25:59] Speaker A: And while we're giving shout outs, you know, we got shot. My boy Trey Woodall, my man, intern here, coach four games. You know, their coach got suspension for violation of. Give it to me. The violation for recruiting. Recruiting violation. [00:26:17] Speaker B: Give it to me. [00:26:25] Speaker A: Come on. [00:26:26] Speaker B: Right now. [00:26:27] Speaker A: Come on, man. That's why y'all supposed to be right there with me. [00:26:31] Speaker B: Come on. [00:26:35] Speaker A: But tranquil. Getting his head coaching debut. You know, I'm hoping. Hoping he'd do well. I had to. I had to talk with Trey, you know, and, you know, like he said in the unfortunate situation that they're going through something that they don't have to go through. But he got his shot. And you know me, Me and Trey always talk. I want to see him, you know, get a head coaching job. So this is his chance to show everybody what he can do. So I just wanted to give him that shout out. [00:27:04] Speaker B: Congratulations. No, they're gonna be prepared. I know you prepared. Like you said, it's unfortunate. This is opportunities just gotta, I mean, do what he do. [00:27:14] Speaker C: Yeah. I hope he take advantage of the opportunity. You know, he always been a good basketball mine. Even when we was playing, he always knew the game pretty well. [00:27:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Definitely be a coach. [00:27:23] Speaker C: Definitely. You always trying to tell us what to do. Now he can tell his players, hopefully they get some. Get some. Dubs, he said four games, so that's a, you know, good opportunity. I've seen that they have been struggling this season, you know, getting some wins. So it's a great opportunity for him. [00:27:38] Speaker A: And, you know, Dub get moved up to his top assistant. So, yeah, man, pick guys. We wished him nothing but the best shout out, too. [00:27:49] Speaker B: Good luck. Good luck. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Good luck, fellas. Good luck. Still. While we on pit, Sam Clancy, senior, he got his jersey hung up in the Raptors. Definitely congratulations for Sam. Just want to throw out some of his. Sam Clancy Sr. Was a standout basketball player for our university for four years from 1977-81 All American in 80 and 81 season second team All American in senior year. Big east player of the year in 81. Pitt all time leading rebounder with 1362 rebounds. Top 10 in Pitt Correa scorn 1671 points. Got his jersey retired, man. Sam, actually Lavance, I'll let you start. Go ahead. Just you know, send your congratulations and what you have to say about Sam. [00:28:42] Speaker B: Yeah, just congratulations. First and foremost. I thought it was. I thought he been with what happened so long overdue. He always showed face when we were always in college so I got a chance to meet him. Great guy. Always was rooting for us, always trying to help us and just give us his knowledge and things he knew of. So I appreciated that and once again, just congratulations well deserved. Glad he's alive to see something like that happen alongside his family. He's still there doing a lot of work with the university. So he's family. Like I said, I think he deserved it. Well, long overdue and congrats to him again. [00:29:18] Speaker A: G. Yeah. [00:29:19] Speaker C: Shout out to. Shout out to Sam Quincy on getting his jersey retired. Like Levan said, he always was around when we was playing. [00:29:25] Speaker B: Always show love. [00:29:26] Speaker C: Always gave me words of encouragement especially as being another big man, you know what I'm saying? In a thousand, thousand rebound club is pretty crazy. So that's a, that's a stat right there. So he definitely deserved it and I love seeing it, seeing that for him. So congratulations to him. [00:29:40] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah Sam, congratulations. You know, I echoed the same thing they said since the time I met him. He always show love. He's been around even now still when I go back he'd be happy to see us always talking about our team and how he respect us and how we carried on the legacy that they had when he played. And like I said, you know, you always love a family guy. I was just happy to see him and his wife up there. Lovely people. Big congratulations to him and his family. I think he said long overdue. Happy for him. With that said, we also had one of our teammates going to the hall of Fame. Juan Blair, class of 2024. Just throw some of his his accolades. DeJuan spent two years at Pitt from what, 2007, 2009 first team all American, 2009 big east co player of the year first team all big east 2009 biggie saw a rookie team his first year in 08. He was the Oscar Robinson finalist for the trophy, finalist for the John Wooden award. Led Pitt up to our first ever number one ranking in school history. Helped us reach the Elite Eight. He averaged a double double his sophomore year. 16 points, 12 rebounds. Set the record for most rebounds in a single game for 22 against UConn. And you know how that game went against the beat. G, I'll let you go first. You know, what do you have to say to Dajuan, man? [00:31:13] Speaker C: Congratulations to Dajuan, man. That's well deserved. He's the reason I didn't play my first two years. Because he was that good, All American great player, one of the best rebounders I've ever seen. Seemed like he just knew where the ball was going, you know, he definitely. It was a reason that we made it to the Elite Eight. You know, like we talked about it before that Elite Eight game. He was nine for nine. He killed. So he has a lot of big games. Went on to have a good NBA career. Congratulations to him for sure. Definitely probably the greatest rebounder I ever seen. Like I played with or played. Played against the Vance. [00:31:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Congrats to my bro dejuan. Like G said, just dominant for the two years he was there. Just always knew where the ball was going to be. Kind of both on the offensive end and defensive end with the rebounds. Really energetic player, always bringing the energy. So if you. If you was like not into it or down he was going, he was going to be ready to go. Playing with the ones like he. That was good when he brought to the team too, being just always fired up, ready to go and being ready for the big games, man, he always showed up, you know, I'm saying he ain't duck nobody obviously to beat or anybody taller than him. Like the one was always. He was always up for that. So well deserved for him. I know. I don't know how it's gonna go down the road, but he might be able to get his jersey retired, too. I know he's one of the best to wear a pit uniform and some of the things he's done I don't think probably could be duplicated. But he only was able to do it two years because, you know, he just had to go to the draft. But congrats. Well deserved. [00:32:42] Speaker A: Big congrats. I'll say this, when. When I came on my visit, I had already committed to Pitt. Gee, I think you played Lavance. Broke foot. You on the sideline watching Juan. Came in the gym late, came in there, played you and me. I came from Juco and dejuan was on my team. I got the ball in the Wing and he set a ball screen for me and it's the first time I ever was wide open. I'm talking about big screen. I'd seen nobody in front of me. I said, oh, this how this about to be. I got this big fella doing that. And obviously it didn't turn out that way because Lens Dylan dominated the basketball. But hey, I was happy to, I was happy to play with a guy like dejuan. Like, like Lee said, you know, he was energetic. He, he kept a smile on his face. He was always ready to go. Dominated anytime he played a big name, he, he dominated every time he played. But anytime it was a to beat or Samardo Samuels or Heron, Goldie, whoever, my man got 20 and 20, it was time for him to shine. And then another thing, we, you know that he led us to the Elite eight. Any game we lost, dejuan was in foul trouble. So it just showed that you know what he meant to the team. He's the big. Like you said. G, I love you. But you know, Djuan was probably the best big man I played with in my career. Dominant guy, went on to have a good NBA career and I think and shout out to Sam Clancy senior again. If dejuan was. Dejuan was there for four years. He probably would be the all time rebound at the school. But like you said, well deserved hall of fame. Hopefully he can get his name in the Raptors. But congratulations, big fella. Definitely, definitely deserve that. Lence, your turn next, baby. [00:34:30] Speaker B: Hope so. [00:34:32] Speaker A: Yeah, you, you on your way there. [00:34:34] Speaker B: G. Just be ready to come through, G. [00:34:39] Speaker A: I don't know, G. You had a great career. I don't know. I ain't getting there. I ain't getting there. I don't know. [00:34:48] Speaker C: Don't pull it up. I show love. [00:34:51] Speaker A: That's good, man. [00:34:52] Speaker B: That's good, man. Crazy. And we went through all your topics. [00:35:00] Speaker A: Yeah, we good. I ain't, I ain't touching that. Bama Kentucky again. No need to touch that. [00:35:04] Speaker B: Yeah, G. Already did it. I'm over here. [00:35:06] Speaker C: Phoenix. [00:35:06] Speaker B: I couldn't wait for you. I know the scene. Grant Nelson, Marcus Spears. [00:35:12] Speaker A: I know. G, G, G jump right into it. [00:35:14] Speaker B: I said, I'm like, this year he done it. Don't go else to say about that. Seniors playing well. What else you want, sir? Yeah, that's all I need to see. That's what happened in them kind of game. Seeing play like that. Both of them. Spears was one assist from a double double. [00:35:32] Speaker C: I like the fill bone is a fil Bond feel. Bond the freshman. [00:35:39] Speaker A: The freshman Freshman. [00:35:44] Speaker C: Yeah. He tough. [00:35:45] Speaker A: Number five. Number five. [00:35:46] Speaker C: He probably from Alabama, too, so it's a hometown kid. [00:35:50] Speaker B: So he like. [00:35:52] Speaker A: He like you. He like you. Levance. He don't turn the ball over. [00:35:57] Speaker B: I think it's spares. I mean, on pit, man, what the. These really trying not to make the tournament, bro. That got me tight, man, this looking nasty. Talking about Maryland. We on the outside. For real. Maryland looking in more than us. [00:36:13] Speaker C: I know, but like I said, though, we did lose the. I mean, I don't know if they all gonna get in, though. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Yeah, but gee, we already a team ain't getting last year, man. That's what I said. [00:36:21] Speaker C: You're right. [00:36:21] Speaker B: That's how I'm thinking. I don't, you know, might not give us the nar like us and I will ever. Y'all. [00:36:26] Speaker A: Ever. [00:36:26] Speaker B: Yeah, I think, like, yeah. [00:36:30] Speaker A: Jake Billis tried to give him some. [00:36:33] Speaker B: Because he always rock with us, but. [00:36:34] Speaker C: It'S like, you know, shout out. That's my dog. [00:36:39] Speaker B: Was always dookie or not. He loved the basketball, son. [00:36:43] Speaker C: You ran the. The bigs. He's at the LeBron camp. He was always showing love. He's cool. [00:36:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:53] Speaker C: You know. Yeah. [00:36:54] Speaker B: I think it's 6:10, right? [00:36:56] Speaker C: Yeah, he is. He was nice at Duke, though. Hold up. Y'all been talking wild today. Like, can we relax? [00:37:02] Speaker B: Like. [00:37:05] Speaker C: You have one today, too. I'll let you. I'll let you rock. But then y'all. Then name starts. I'm like, yo, you said it left a bad taste in our mouth. [00:37:15] Speaker B: What I'm talking about. [00:37:16] Speaker A: You said that. [00:37:18] Speaker C: You gotta get another analogy, brother. [00:37:24] Speaker B: Four games straight, bro. We lost. I a know. We lost three, though. [00:37:27] Speaker C: So what? [00:37:28] Speaker B: It's possible, man, but we won the Big east tournament that year, and we won seven out of eight. [00:37:33] Speaker C: That's what I was gonna ask, like, do you think we would have made a tournament without winning the Big east tournament? [00:37:36] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, well, the two games. [00:37:38] Speaker C: Yeah, we. [00:37:38] Speaker B: I felt two games we won. [00:37:40] Speaker C: I'm saying. I'm saying just winning the. Who we play first Cincinnati was that first Cincinnati. [00:37:44] Speaker B: If I didn't, I didn't. I wasn't sure still. But no, no, we had a good. [00:37:48] Speaker C: We had. We had really. [00:37:49] Speaker A: Y'all played Cincinnati in the tournament, first game. [00:37:51] Speaker C: Yeah, it really was a good. It really. I looked at it because I was like. I was like, yeah. I remember they saying we was on the line. I'm like, hey. But I'm looking at the schedule. I'm like, we have it. We was like, 21 and 8. [00:37:59] Speaker B: I feel like we was in G. You right, exactly. Because of that. And you got to think about it. We beat Duke when we was healthy. Yeah. [00:38:05] Speaker C: And they look at that, too. You being hurt. [00:38:07] Speaker B: They look at that. [00:38:09] Speaker A: Y'all lost Mike, too. [00:38:10] Speaker B: And we lost. [00:38:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:38:11] Speaker C: They were gonna look at all that. They like, dang this team still. Because I was looking. I was like. We really. We really wasn't doing bad. [00:38:16] Speaker B: We played well. When they. When we lost. Meech, when you was hurt. [00:38:19] Speaker C: When you was hurt, we held it down. It wasn't like we was getting cooked. We was right there. So we lost some games. Of course. [00:38:25] Speaker B: I felt like that all played the factor in that, too, for us. [00:38:28] Speaker C: Yep. [00:38:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Because that's when I committed. When I committed. Levance was hurting KB and I think that was running point, wasn't he? [00:38:36] Speaker B: We won 11. [00:38:37] Speaker C: Let me see if we went one. [00:38:39] Speaker B: I mean, we won 11 out of eight. I mean 12. [00:38:41] Speaker A: We won 11 out of 12 to end the year. [00:38:44] Speaker B: Seven for eight to end the year. We won four in the big East, I believe. Yeah. [00:38:48] Speaker C: See, we did. I'm tell you what we did. So we. After. I count after. After Dayton, I won't count. Dating. [00:38:53] Speaker A: I see. [00:38:53] Speaker B: I'm popping mad. Tags on my picture. [00:38:55] Speaker C: Yeah. What's up? [00:38:56] Speaker A: Yeah, I just got on Gail ass. [00:39:00] Speaker C: Hit him up like, bro, what's up? I can't beat that. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Yo, yo, send me some. Why you got that hoodie. [00:39:06] Speaker C: Stuff that coach. That's just so hard, though. [00:39:11] Speaker A: I got more pick. Yeah, but I had to. I had to wear my lead banger when I had to wear my shirt. [00:39:15] Speaker C: Hey, take them shorts up. Take them short. Gary. [00:39:17] Speaker B: That weak. Gary. I don't want to wear that. [00:39:21] Speaker C: Hey, hold up. Take off some shorts.
